Crochet Project Class - with Susan Chin

April 16, 23, 30, & May 7, 2024, 6:30 - 8:30 pm

This session is for those who are comfortable with their basic stitches (sl st, ch, sc, hdc, dc and tr) and would like some help with their project. Maybe it's a little help with making a magic ring for granny squares or the start of a stuffie pattern. Help with understanding a pattern, or what you're looking for is a little guidance on sweater construction or seaming options when finishing a blanket or garment.

Double Knitting - with Susan Chin

May 4, 10:00 - 12:00 pm & May 5, 1:00 - 3:00 pm

Double knitting creates a two-layer fabric, usually knit in two colours to create a reversible fabric where each side is a mirror of each other in stockinette. There are two basic ways to knit this double-sided fabric. We’ll cover both techniques in the first session, as well as yarn management, basic structure of double-knit fabric, how to read chart patterns & tips for how to knit this technique successfully. In the second session, we’ll look at cast-on options and start on the project you’ve chosen to knit.
